Lorraine-style quiche in the air fryer

Instructions

• 1.Pastry preparation

  Unroll the shortcrust pastry and place it in a mold suitable for the air fryer.
  Prick the bottom with a fork.
  

• 2.Cooking the lardons

  Sauté the lardons in a pan without adding any fat for 3 to 5 minutes, then drain on paper towels.
  

• 3.Batter preparation

  In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sour cream, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  Optionally add the grated cheese.
  

• 4.Quiche assembly

  Spread the lardons over the pastry base, then pour the batter on top.
  

• 5.Air fryer cooking

  Place the quiche in the air fryer basket and cook at 180°C in Bake mode for 30 to 35 minutes, until the surface is nicely golden and the filling is set.
  If needed, cover the quiche with aluminum foil at the end of cooking to prevent it from browning too quickly.
  

• 6.Tasting

  Let rest a few minutes before serving.
  Pair with a green salad for a balanced meal.
