Instructions
1.Prepare the marinade
Mix all the marinade ingredients.
Reserve 2 tablespoons for the glaze.2.Marinate the meat
Cut the pork into thick strips (4 cm).
Mix with the remaining marinade and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.3.Prepare the glaze
Mix the powdered sugar with the water and the reserved marinade to create a thick glaze.
4.Air fryer cooking
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
Arrange the pork pieces in the basket.
Cook 6 minutes, brush with glaze, flip and continue cooking another 6-10 minutes, glazing every 3-4 minutes.5.Finishing
The char siu is ready when it's glossy, slightly caramelized on the edges and cooked through.
Let rest before slicing thinly.
